Marian & Réamonn
Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa

One part of my job that i love is revisiting families for second and sometimes third celebrations. In this case i was back in the warm and loving space of the O’Sheas, a family that don’t blink an eyelid when they see me
anymore as i have been there to capture it all for them through the years. As with Marians sister and brothers weddings previously, the easy-going nature of this crew meant that we didnt stop laughing all day, except
one or two lumps in the throat and a runaway tear from the evocative and personal speeches later on. Again an absolute privilege to capture the glances of sheer pride and emotion on john’s face as he saw his youngest daughter standing there in her wedding dress and jovial words of warning to the galway man she was now marrying. This was also my first time photographing a wedding in the beautiful surrounds of the Ballygarry Estate and Spa since the lodge was built on site and my god did it deliver! As Marian walked up in the aisle to the gravelly tones of Trevor Sexton belting out heartfelt words that gave us all goosebumps the magic set in and never left.
Marian looked like a Hollywood starlet from a bygone era with her dress by the talented orlaith carroll from The attic bridalwear boutique and her hair and makeup by the wonderful crew from FMN studios in Mungret.
